Cyril Zimmermann created Hi-media in 1996, when he was 24 just after a master degree in Business and a degree in Politics. Hi-media was at first a pan European advertising network in the early 2000’s. Hi-media has diversified its business towards micropayments and publishing in 2003 and is now one of the biggest online media group in Europe besides being the leading advertising network and the leading micropayment solution in the EU. Hi-media also acts as a global publisher since the purchase of Fotolog which is the leading social Network in Latin American with more than 30M unique visitors per month.
Hi-media is at the heart of the one line media business and its new challenges from social networking to advertising or inventing new payment methods. Hi-media employs 500 people over 9 countries in Europe + US and Brazil, and posted in 2009 172 million Euros in sales (consolidating AdLINK Media as of 1st of September 2009).
