Plamen Russev has more than 17 years in marketing, advertising, PR and IT. Back in 1993 (17 years old) he started his career as a self-employed radio producer in local radio station in Varna, Bulgaria part of the VOA Europe Network. Later he joint one of the major Bulgarian advertising agencies where he started as an account manager and left it at the position of Public relations Director. In 1997 he launched the TV show – Wheel in Fortune in Bulgaria (a Columbia Try Star Company TV show – Sony Pictures).
Since 1999 he is specializing in digital marketing and advertising establishing a number of companies such as Business Media Communications Group (1997 – sold in 2001), design.bg
– interactive and e-marketing agency servicing clients such as New Zealand Tourism Board, Bulgarian Tourism Authority, Toyota, Beiersdorf, etc (Managing partner 1999 – 2007, Member of the board 2007 till now), DBG Switzerland with clients IKEA, IWC, Honda, etc (non Managing partner - 2004 – till now).
In 2007 Mr. Russev was appointed Chairman of e-Academy (www.e-acad.eu
). e-Academy mission is to educate and raise the awareness towards the digital industry in the CEE region.
e-Academy is specialised in research, consulting and education. In 2008 e-Academy became governmentally licensed Education and Professional Qualification Institute for CE Europe. e-Academy provides professional qualification in the fields of e-Business, e-Marketing, e-Consultancy, e-PR, Social media.

Mr. Russev is a consultant of e-governance, IT / digital projects committing his expertise in IT, marketing and management.
He is a member of the Consultative Committee at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications in Bulgaria. He is also member of a number of international academic, IT, marketing and non-profit organizations and trade associations and is frequently speaking and moderating conferences.
