Elias Ghanem is the former MD of PayPal Middle East and North Africa and previously MD of PayPal South East Asia and India. Before joining PayPal, he has been a long-time senior executive at Visa Inc., Mr. Ghanem is a proven payment industry leader with a strong entrepreneurial drive and years of managing e-payment solutions in regional leadership roles at PayPal/eBay, Visa, and Accor Group in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Fluent in five languages, and a 2013 nominee for the Arabian Business Start-ups “Mentor of the Year” award. His multi-functional experience spans strategy, business development, sales and marketing and successful change agent with a history of leading emerging market entry both in high growth B2B and B2C environments.
Elias is a Business Science graduate of the “Institut de Preparation à l’Administration et la Gestion”, a Business School in Paris, France, with major in Finance, and received an MBA from the University of Miami, USA.
